The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) has announced a partial closure of the Corniche Street to Al Intifada Street in Al Majaz 3 area of Sharjah. This forms part of the second phase of infrastructure development works in the area. The closure began last Thursday and will continue until Sunday, August 24. The aim is to complete the planned works and ensure the efficiency of the road network and improved traffic flow in the area.
The SRTA explained that the development works form part of its strategic plan to enhance road infrastructure and traffic safety levels in various areas of the emirate. The plan aims to ensure a safe environment for residents and visitors in line with Sharjah's urban growth. The second phase of the project involves improving the road network and redesigning traffic routes, all of which adhere to the highest international road design standards.
The Authority called on all road users to cooperate, adhere to the traffic instructions displayed on road signs around the site and use the prepared alternative routes.
It also stressed the importance of adhering to the site's safety guidelines to ensure the safety of drivers and pedestrians.
The Authority further affirmed its commitment to completing the work on time and to the highest quality standards, and said that it was continuing to work around the clock in preparation for reopening the road to traffic.
