The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has urged citizens travelling outside the country to review the page on travel requirements by destination on MoFA’s website or smart app.
The interactive page provides a set of guidelines and tips tailored to each destination, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable travel experience.
Through its website, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the importance of abiding by seven travel guidelines; namely, registering the traveller and his/her family in Twajudi service, keeping an electronic copy of the identification documents and ensuring that the passport is valid for at least six months.
Other guidelines include keeping the emergency number +97180024, which provides immediate response to the citizens abroad around the clock, ensuring the availability of valid international health insurance, following the alerts and instructions issued by the destination country and avoiding wearing valuables or carrying large sums of money.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained that Twajudi service came as part of its commitment to the comfort and safety of citizens while they are abroad as the service provides immediate support in emergencies.
It is possible for Emiratis to register for the service before or during travel via the website, smart app or WhatsApp, the ministry said, calling on them to use the number 0097180024 designated for Emiratis abroad.
