Civil Defence teams of Sharjah Civil Defence Authority brought a fire under control on Tuesday afternoon, which erupted in a warehouse in Industrial Area 5, with no human injuries reported.
The operations room of Sharjah Police received a report at 4:10pm alerting a fire in a warehouse, so firefighting teams from Sharjah Civil Defence Authority, police patrols, and National Ambulance vehicles were instantly rushed to the scene.
Upon arrival, teams found that the fire had started in a warehouse selling electrical appliances. The Civil Defence teams promptly started firefighting operations, established a security cordon around the site, and evacuated nearby workers and vehicles to ensure everyone’s safety.
The firefighting efforts continued until the teams had full control over the flames in record time. Cooling operations were then carried out to prevent the fire from reigniting and to ensure the site’s stability before handing it over to the relevant authorities to determine the cause of the fire.
