According to the Global AI Competitiveness Index released by the International Financial Forum in collaboration with the scientific research organisation "Deep Knowledge," the United Arab Emirates has been ranked among the top 20 countries attracting talent in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), with a 0.7% share of global AI talent.
The UAE also ranks first in the Arab world and 16th globally, emerging as a key player in the global AI landscape. The United States leads globally with a 32.6% share of the world’s AI talent, while Saudi Arabia ranks 19th globally and second regionally, with a 0.4% share.
The top 20 countries attracting AI talent are the United States with a share of 32.6%, Mainland China with 24.4%, India with 7.0%, United Kingdom with 5.0%, Canada with 3.5%, Germany with 3.0%, France with 2.5%, Israel with 2.2%, Japan with 2.0%, South Korea with 1.8%, Singapore with 1.5%, Australia 1.3%, Netherlands 1.2%, Switzerland 1.0%, Sweden 0.8%, UAE 0.7%, Spain 0.6%, Brazil 0.5%, Saudi Arabia 0.4% and Italy with a share of 0.4%.
