This decision follows the discovery of serious violations of regulations, bylaws, and professional ethics. The municipality emphasised that it is continuously overseeing and checking engineering consulting offices, and that it will not tolerate any violations or irresponsible practices that negatively impact project quality or community safety.
The municipality also provided engineering consulting offices with specific guidance on the importance of adhering to all approved technical and organisational rules and regulations, maintaining professional ethics in their dealings, cooperating with engineering oversight teams, and responding transparently and seriously to their comments.
