Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) is implementing the second phase of the road and infrastructure development project on Al Zahra Street between Butina and Al Nasseriya over 30 days between July 24 and August 24, 2025.
This is part of SRTA’s ongoing efforts to develop infrastructure and enhance the efficiency of the emirate’s road network.
As part of this phase, the road extending from Sheikh Abdullah Bin Ali Al Mahmoud Square to Sheikh Abdul Karim Al Bakri Square will be closed to implement the necessary development and maintenance work, which include rehabilitating the infrastructure, upgrading service routes and improving traffic safety in the area.
The SRTA indicated that the road to be closed is located next to the Butina area, noting that work would be carried out round the clock to ensure completion within the specified time schedule and minimize the impact on traffic.
Through a post on its social media platforms, the SRTA provided clearly defined alternative routes, which were marked in green in the attached guideline, to ensure smooth traffic flow and facilitate vehicle movement.
SRTA called on all motorists to abide by traffic safety instructions and follow the temporary guide signs on site to maintain everyone’s safety.
It also called on road users to co-operate with field teams, noting that more information can be obtained through the QR code shown in the post, which provides the exact location and road conditions of the project.
