The UAE hosted a meeting between Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between their countries and ways to support efforts aimed at building bridges of trust and enhancing stability in the South Caucasus region.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, may God protect him, also met separately with President Aliyev and Prime Minister Pashinyan. His Highness welcomed them and expressed his appreciation for their choice of the UAE as a venue for the meeting and dialogue. This is based on its international credibility as a reliable supporter of peace, diplomatic solutions, multilateral cooperation, and efforts to enhance regional stability.
During the two meetings, His Highness the President affirmed the UAE's commitment to supporting all efforts aimed at consolidating security and stability in the Caucasus region and achieving development and prosperity for the people of Azerbaijan and Armenia.
His Highness stressed the importance of constructive dialogue and mutual understanding between the two neighboring countries, reaffirming the UAE's position calling for peaceful solutions and enhancing sustainable cooperation in the region. His Highness the President also expressed the UAE's pride in its bilateral relations with Azerbaijan and Armenia, noting the growth these relations are witnessing in all fields. His Highness affirmed the UAE's aspiration to build on the cooperation achieved and expand the horizons of partnerships to serve common interests and enhance regional and international peace.
