Pakistani actress and model Humaira Asghar Ali was found dead in her Karachi apartment this week, in a tragic incident that has shocked fans and the entertainment industry alike. Her decomposed body was discovered by police and court officials after she failed to respond to eviction notices stemming from unpaid rent.
The 32-year-old was found in her residence located in a building on Ittehad Commercial Street in DHA Phase VI. According to authorities, she had been living alone in the flat for several years. Her body was only discovered after neighbors complained of a persistent foul odor in the building. A court bailiff, accompanied by law enforcement, forcibly entered the premises to carry out an eviction order, where they made the grim discovery.

Police reports indicate that the apartment was locked from the inside, and there were no signs of forced entry or struggle. Investigators believe her death occurred at least two to five weeks earlier. Initial assessments suggest there is no immediate evidence of foul play, although a post-mortem examination is underway at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre to determine the cause of death.
Humaira Asghar Ali rose to fame through her appearance in ARY Digital’s reality series "Tamasha Ghar", a local adaptation of the Big Brother format. She also starred in the 2015 Pakistani film "Jalaibee", alongside various television drama appearances including Ehsaan Faramosh and Guru. In 2023, she received the National Women Leadership Award for "Best Emerging Talent and Rising Star."

Known for her strong social media presence, Humaira had amassed a following of over 700,000 on Instagram, where she regularly shared content related to fashion, lifestyle, and fitness. Despite her public persona, those close to her say she led a largely private life off-screen.
The discovery has sparked widespread sorrow among fans and peers in the entertainment industry. Many have taken to social media to express their condolences and call for increased awareness around the wellbeing of public figures who live alone.
This is the second such incident in recent months involving an actress in Karachi. In June, veteran film star Ayesha Khan, 84, was also found dead in her home after several days.
Police are continuing to investigate Humaira's death and are working to identify and contact her next of kin. Updates are expected pending the results of the autopsy and forensic analysis.
