In a striking symbolic scene, activists in Spain organized a unique solidarity event, where dozens of activists formed a human map of Palestine to express their support for the Palestinian people and condemn the ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip.
The event was part of a series of protest activities organized by Palestine solidarity movements in several Spanish cities. Participants chose a large public space in a central square to create a map of historic Palestine, using their bodies and clothing in the colors of the Palestinian flag: red, green, white, and black.
The protesters carried banners bearing slogans such as "Free Palestine" and "Stop the genocide in Gaza," while waving Palestinian flags, chanting slogans demanding justice and an end to Israeli attacks.
One of the participants, Spanish activist Maria Fernandez, said: "This living map is a symbolic message to the world: Palestine is not just a name on a map, but a human cause deserving of justice and freedom."
The organizers emphasized that the goal of this event is to draw the attention of the international community to the worsening suffering in Gaza, in light of the ongoing Israeli military operations and the crippling blockade that has claimed the lives of thousands of civilians, including children and women.
Spain has witnessed a wave of popular solidarity with Palestine for months, including demonstrations, art exhibitions, and humanitarian aid convoys. Meanwhile, activists have called on the Spanish government to take a firmer stance against the ongoing violations in the Palestinian territories.
