The Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) held its meeting on Tuesday morning at the Office of His Highness the Ruler, chaired by Sheikh Abdullah Bin Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the SEC.
The council issued a decision regarding the exemptions for traffic violations in Sharjah, stating that there will be a 35% exemption in case the fines are paid within 60 days.
This includes waivers on financial penalties, vehicle impoundment periods, impoundment fees, and any late payment fines. The decision also applies a 25% exemption if the fine is paid after 60 days but before one year, covering only the financial penalty.
The decision also specifies that serious traffic violations are not eligible for exemptions.
Additionally, the council approved a 50% exemption on government fees for two years for a new batch of 88 pioneer projects supported by the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Foundation (Ruwad). These projects span various economic activities and priority sectors across all cities and regions of the emirate.
