Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority (SEWA) has launched a new service in collaboration with the Sharjah Municipality to streamline procedures through the activation of a direct electronic linkage system.
This system automatically connects SEWA’s services after the rental contract is authenticated by the Sharjah Municipality.
Dr. Hussein Al-Askar, Director of the Subscriber Service Department, explained that SEWA has recently begun offering proactive services, including the automatic closure of accounts after the issuance of a clearance certificate from the Sharjah Municipality.
Today, he added, the authority is launching a service to simplify procedures, where a new subscriber receives a text message containing the required deposit amount. Once the deposit is paid, the service is automatically connected without the need for the subscriber to submit a request or intervention.
Al-Askar emphasised that through this initiative, SEWA aims to enhance operational efficiency, save time and effort for customers, and elevate the customer experience to unprecedented levels, in line with the digital transformation goals of the Sharjah Government.
