Dibba Al Hisn Municipality, in collaboration with Sharjah Municipality, launched an environmental initiative to measure outdoor air quality across residential, agricultural, and industrial areas of the city.
The initiative utilises a mobile air quality measurement vehicle to enhance public health and environmental standards, in line with the directives of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
This effort is part of the municipality’s vision to establish Dibba Al-Hisn as a leading city in health and environmental sustainability.
Taleb Abdullah Al Yahaiei, Director of Dibba Al-Hisn Municipality, emphasised the commitment to improving the quality of life for all by providing a healthy and safe environment. He highlighted the importance of environmental conservation and pollution reduction. Such initiatives, he stated, aim to continuously and accurately monitor air quality across the city, providing data that supports informed decision-making and proactive measures to address any environmental changes, in a way that ensures the well-being of residents and visitors alike.
Al Yahaiei noted that the measurement results will be used to track environmental changes throughout the year and link them to health indicators in collaboration with relevant authorities in the emirate. This integrated approach will further enhance the safety and quality of life in Dibba Al Hisn.
