In collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Community Development Department, the Family Development Foundation (FDF) and the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre have unveiled details of a new service for the sale and purchase of residential grants.
This initiative, part of the 'Barakatuna' (Our Blessing) programme, aims to bring parents and their caregiver sons and daughters closer, fostering stronger family ties and social cohesion.
Wafa Mohammed Al Ali, Director of the Family Development Department at FDF, explained that applications can be submitted through 'TAMM' platform using digital ID. After submitting the request and receiving a confirmation notification, applicants must schedule a home visit by the foundation, which is followed by a notification confirming the appointment for a social case study. Once the specialised team completes the home study, a notification is issued via the platform, confirming the applicant’s eligibility.
Al Ali noted that FDF is the authorised entity to verify that the applicants are primary caregivers for their parents. However, this verification is not a mandatory condition for approving residential grant sale and purchase requests.
She added that the application review process takes approximately 30 working days, emphasising the importance of the seller notifying the buyer to approve the preliminary acceptance notice issued by 'TAMM' platform. This approval is essential for transferring the application to FDF to complete the social study.
