The Ministry of Education has announced six exceptional cases in which students are permitted to take re-sit exams remotely.
These include students receiving treatment outside the country and their accompanying family members, provided they submit certified medical reports and official proof of the treatment schedule.
Additionally, students undergoing treatment within the country for chronic medical conditions persisting throughout the academic year are eligible, provided they submit medical reports confirming their inability to attend and obtain approval from the relevant sector.
Other eligible cases include students officially dispatched for participation in international events, students in juvenile and care centres, and people of determination.
The Ministry clarified that temporary or emergency medical conditions within the country are not considered valid reasons for remote exams.
In such cases, a special committee supervised by medical staff will be assigned within the school, except for critical health cases verified by the competent committee.
The Ministry emphasised that travel for tourism or family vacations is not a valid excuse and students are required to attend exams at the designated times.
Unexcused absences will not be tolerated, and re-sits will not be permitted under any circumstances.
Re-sit exams for grades 4 to 12 will begin on Friday, July 4 till July 10, for students in public and private schools who did not pass exams in Group A subjects. The exams will be conducted electronically, with results announced on July 14, the Ministry clarified.
