Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) is implementing a partial closure on Al Zahra Street from Sheikh Abdul Karim Al Bakri Square to Sheikh Abdullah Bin Ali Al Mahmoud Square as part of the first phase of an infrastructure development project between Al Nabaa and Al Nasseriya.
SRTA explained that the closure would be on the section extending between the Butina and Al Nasseriya, starting Tuesday, July 1, and continuing through Thursday, July 31.
During this period, comprehensive infrastructure development works are being implemented in addition to rehabilitating the road and sidewalks and improving traffic safety in the area, it said.
SRTA stressed its commitment to implementing the works in accordance with the highest quality standards, ensuring smooth traffic flow in the area. In a post on its social media platforms, SRTA identified alternative routes to ensure smooth traffic flow for road users in the emirate and facilitate access to the areas for residents and visitors.
SRTA called on all road users to abide by the on-site traffic instructions and follow the road signs indicating alternative routes to ensure everyone’s safety and avoid congestion.
This is in light of the ongoing work being undertaken to improve road efficiency and enhance the quality of life in all areas in line with the Emirate of Sharjah’s vision to achieve sustainable urban development.
