President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, congratulated the people of the UAE and the Islamic nations on the Hijri New Year.
In a post on X today, Thursday, he stated: "I congratulate the people of the UAE and the Islamic nations on the occasion of the Hijri New Year, praying to Allah Almighty that it will be a year of peace and stability in the region and the world, and that all peoples will enjoy goodness and prosperity."
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, said on X platform: “We congratulate the Arab and Islamic nations on the new Hijri year 1447. We ask Allah Al Mighty that it will be a year of goodness, blessings, and prosperity... May every year bring you goodness, may every day be better, and may our peoples always enjoy security, peace, stability, and prosperity.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Mohamed received congratulatory messages from the kings, presidents and princes of Arab and Muslim countries, on the occasion of the new Hijri Year.
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid and His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, received similar congratulatory messages on the occasion.
Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, the Mother of the Nation, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), has sent congratulatory messages to the wives of kings, presidents and emirs of the Arab and Islamic countries on the occasion of the new Hijri Year 1447.
Sheikha Fatima wished them good health and happiness and more progress, prosperity, pride and glory to the Arab and Muslim nations.
Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Finance, extended his congratulations to the Arab and Islamic nations on the occasion of the new Hijri year.
Sheikh Maktoum expressed his wishes for prosperity and peace to prevail among Arab and Muslim peoples. In a post on the "X" platform, Sheikh Maktoum stated: "A new Hijri year in which we remember the greatest journey in history, drawing inspiration from its values of faith, patience, and determination. On the anniversary of the Prophet’s migration (Hijra), we ask Allah Al Mighty to bless our Arab and Muslim peoples with goodness and peace, and to grant our nations further progress and prosperity. Wishing you all a blessed new year."
Dubai Police congratulated the UAE people and the Arab and Islamic nations on the new Hijri year 1447 via their X platform: "A new year dawns upon us, marking 1447 years since the blessed migration of the Prophet Mohammed, peace and blessings be upon him... May every year find you in good health, and we ask Allah Al Mighty to make it a happy and blessed year for the Islamic nation and the entire world."
Meanwhile, the Department of Municipalities and Transport, through Abu Dhabi City Municipality, is decorating the Corniche and several city bridges with illuminated sculptures and paintings to celebrate the arrival of the Hijri year 1447.
These artistic displays reflect the spirituality and noble values of the Islamic occasion, while enhancing the beauty of Abu Dhabi in line with the emirate’s ongoing urban and cultural renaissance.
The illuminated pieces feature designs inspired by Islamic architecture, nature, and Emirati heritage, with the phrase “Hijri Year 1447” engraved across them.
All decorations were installed with full safety and quality considerations.
Energy-saving LED lights, weather-resistant materials and secure electrical components were used.
