UAE strongly condemns Iranian attack on Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar

The United Arab Emirates strongly condemned the Iranian Revolutionary Guard’s targeting of Al-Udeid Air Base in the sisterly State of Qatar, describing it as a blatant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and airspace, and a clear breach of international law and the United Nations Charter.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the UAE’s unequivocal rejection of any attack that threatens the security and safety of Qatar and undermines regional stability.

The Ministry expressed the UAE’s full solidarity with Qatar and its steadfast support for all measures aimed at protecting the security and safety of Qatari citizens and residents.

The statement also stressed the urgent need for an immediate halt to military escalation, warning that the continuation of such acts could jeopardize regional security and drag the region into dangerous paths with catastrophic consequences for international peace and security.

The Ministry called for diplomatic solutions and the principle of good neighborliness, emphasizing that serious dialogue is the only way to overcome the current crises and preserve the region’s security, stability, and the well-being of its peoples.
