His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, said via the X platform: “Today, I chaired a cabinet meeting at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi, during which we reviewed the country’s results in the 2025 annual competitiveness report issued by the World Competitiveness Centre. The UAE ranked fifth globally, along with the top four countries in the world in terms of economic competitiveness, government efficiency, strong legislation, and excellent business environment.”
“16 years ago, we established a competitiveness centre and combined the efforts of the country’s most important entities on this issue. Thanks to these efforts, the country has moved from the 28th place globally in 2009 to the top five countries in the world in the field of competitiveness,” he added.
“In the same current report, the UAE ranked first globally in the absence of bureaucracy, second globally in adaptability, and fourth globally in government efficiency. This is a well-deserved achievement resulting from continuous work and our future will be brighter and stronger, God willing, under the vision of my brother Mohamed Bin Zayed, may Allah protect him, he said.
