The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has expected that light fog will form over select coastal and inland areas on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
This can be attributed to the impact of weak surface pressure systems within the country, coinciding with the extension of a high pressure system in the upper atmosphere.
Concurrently, the maximum temperature recorded in the country was 49.1°C in Sweihan (Al Ain) on Saturday at 12:30 PM local time.
The NCM has also stated that maximum temperatures are expected to range between 35 and 48°C, and minimums between 23 and 33°C.
The weather forecast for Sunday is that it will be generally clear, with some parts of the east of the country experiencing intermittent cloud cover.
The prevailing winds are expected to be southeasterly to northwesterly, with a range of light to moderate speeds, ranging from 10 to 20 km/h, and reaching upto 30 km/h.
The sea will be light in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
The meteorological forecast for the period until Wednesday indicates the persistence of predominantly clear weather conditions, interspersed with intermittent periods of partial cloud cover, particularly in eastern regions.
The night will be humid, and on Tuesday morning there is a possibility of fog or light mist forming over some coastal areas, especially in the west.
The prevailing wind directions are expected to be southeasterly to northeasterly, with spped ranging from 10 to 20 km/h, peaking at 30 km/h.
It is expected that the sea will be moderate to rough at times in the west of the Arabian Gulf, and light in the Sea of Oman.
