20-vehicle collision leaves at least 9 injured in Fujairah, probe launched

A horrific accident occurred in Dibba Al Fujairah on Wednesday evening.

The road leading from Waib Al Hannah to Dibba Al Fujairah witnessed a chain collision involving 16 vehicles and four trucks, resulting in a complete closure of the road to traffic.

Upon receiving the report, patrols from Dibba Al Fujairah Police, supported by the Traffic and Patrols Department, patrol units from Masafi Comprehensive Police Station, and National Ambulance teams, immediately responded to the scene.

They provided prompt assistance to the injured, managed traffic flow, and worked to reopen the road for drivers.

The accident resulted in eight minor injuries and one moderate injury. All injured individuals were transported to the hospital for treatment and necessary medical care.

Police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident and take appropriate legal action.

The Fujairah Police General Command has urged drivers to exercise caution, adhere to speed limits, and maintain a safe distance between vehicles, especially on mountainous roads and in areas with heavy traffic.
