UAE warns against links requesting data from applicants to study abroad

The UAE's Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR) issued an important alert via its digital platforms in which it warned of the spread of unofficial links and forms online claiming that they accept applications for exemption from the criteria for studying abroad.

The MOHESR affirmed that it had not issued or approved any of these links and that whatever circulated outside its official channels was unreliable and would expose users to security and information risks.

Some unknown entities and digital websites are promoting electronic forms that invite students or their parents to enter their personal and academic information to expedite procedures or obtain certain exemptions, the MOHESR said, adding that its official website, verified social media accounts and mobile phone app are the only sources for any forms or procedures related to studying abroad.
