Festive events hosted for workers at 10 sites

As many as 10 sites across the UAE hosted festive events for workers during Eid Al-Adha holiday, featuring competitive and interactive activities, prize draws (including a car and travel tickets), entertainment shows, folk dances, and gift distributions.

Workers enthusiastically participated in the celebrations organised by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) under the slogan “Eid with Our Workers is Joy and Happiness,” in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior (MoI), the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security (ICP), Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Sharjah Police, municipalities nationwide, Abu Dhabi Ports Group, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA), Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority, Dubai Civil Defence, the Permanent Committee for Labour Affairs in Dubai, the Roads and Transport Authority in Dubai (RTA), the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai (IACAD), The Labour Standards Development Authority in Sharjah (LSDA), the National Ambulance, Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, and Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ).

Officials from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and its partners joined workers in performing Eid prayers in Dubai and exchanged greetings on this joyous occasion.

The celebration sites saw significant turnout from workers, with events held in Jebel Ali, Al Quoz, Al Muhaisnah (Dubai), Mussafah and Hamim Village (Abu Dhabi), Al Sajaa (Sharjah), the industrial areas of Ajman and Umm Al Quwain, the RAKIZ area in Ras Al Khaimah, and Al Hayl Industrial Area in Fujairah. Celebrating and honouring workers during holidays and special occasions is a continuous approach adopted by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, in collaboration with partners from the public and private sectors.

These efforts aim to bring happiness, enhance their well-being, quality of life, psychological and social stability, and community belonging, while motivating them to contribute more. They also highlight the status of the workforce in the UAE and its pivotal role in the developmental process, supporting the nation’s ambitious economic and pioneering goals and solidifying its position as a global destination for living, investment, and work.
