The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has predicted light rainfall for three consecutive days, starting Friday and continuing until Sunday.
This is due to the impact of an eastern surface low-pressure system and a western surface high-pressure system, accompanied by an upper-air high-pressure system affecting the country.
The NCM indicated that Friday’s weather will be clear to partly cloudy, with low clouds forming in the north and east, and a chance of light rain, and humid on Friday night and on Saturday morning in some coastal areas, with a possibility of light fog.
Winds, according to the NCM, will be northwesterly, shifting to southeasterly, light to moderate, and occasionally active, with speeds ranging from 10 to 20 km/h, amounting to 35 km/h. The waves will be moderate to light in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
On Saturday, the weather is expected to be clear to partly cloudy at times, with a chance of cumulus clouds forming and possible rain in the east and north and humid on Saturday night and on Sunday morning in some coastal and inland areas.
Winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly, light to moderate, and occasionally active, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25 km/h, amounting to 40 km/h. The waves will be light in the Arabian Gulf and light to moderate in the Sea of Oman, the NCM stated.
