Sharjah Civil Defence Authority (SCDA) has launched a new proactive service by issuing a ‘To whom it may concern’ certificate to those affected by residential fires immediately upon approval of the incident report.
Part of SCDA’s ongoing efforts to enhance quality of life and expedite service delivery to customers, this service aims to facilitate the official procedures required by customers following a fire.
The initiative falls within the SCDA’s proactive approach to addressing customers’ needs and providing them with appropriate solutions quickly and efficiently.
The initiative included re-engineering of the administrative processes associated with the service, which contributed to a significant reduction in completion time. Customers can now obtain the certificate within a maximum of one hour, compared to the previous two-day period.
This represents a quantum leap in the level of responsiveness and speed with which the SCDA provides its services, reflecting its commitment to the principles of government excellence and continuous improvement.
The SCDA emphasized that this service is part of a comprehensive approach to enhancing service flexibility and facilitating procedures for customers in the emirate. It called on the public to take advantage of this new service, which would help reduce burdens and expedite procedures following emergency incidents.
