Abu Dhabi Family, Civil, and Administrative Cases Court dismissed a lawsuit filed by a man against his friend, demanding repayment of a Dhs90,000 debt, the plaintiff claimed he had given as a loan to the appellee.
The court rejected the case, citing that the plaintiff failed to provide evidence proving the debt or the reason for the financial transfer.
In the case details, the plaintiff alleged that the appellee requested a loan, and he gave him Dhs45,000 in cash and an additional amount via a cheque, which he gave to the appellee’s landlord.
However, when the plaintiff demanded repayment, the appellee allegedly stalled.
The court ruled that the plaintiff’s claim was unsubstantiated, as no evidence was presented to prove the debt or that the cheque was a part of the debt.
