The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) recorded the highest temperature in the country on Friday, 50.4°C in Al-Shawamekh area of Abu Dhabi at 2:30 pm.
This is the highest temperature recorded since the start of data collection in 2003.
The NCM predicts that the weather on Saturday will be generally clear, with partly cloudy conditions at times in the eastern regions. Winds will be southeasterly, shifting to northwesterly, light to moderate, with speeds ranging from 10 to 20 km/h, amounting to 30 km/h at times and the sea will be calm in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
For Sunday, the weather is expected to be generally clear, with partly cloudy conditions at times in the eastern regions.
Winds will be southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, occasionally active, with speeds ranging from 10 to 20 km/h, amounting to 35 km/h at times and the sea will be calm in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
On Monday, the weather is predicted to be generally clear, with partly cloudy conditions at times in the eastern regions.
A drop in temperatures is expected along the western coast. Winds will be northwesterly, light to moderate, occasionally active and stirring dust during the day, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25 km/h, amounting to 40 km/h at times.
The sea will be light to moderate, occasionally rough in the Arabian Gulf, and light to moderate in the Sea of Oman.
For Tuesday, the weather is expected to be generally clear, with partly cloudy conditions at times and another drop in temperatures.
Winds will be southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, occasionally active and stirring dust during the day, with speeds ranging from 10 to 25 km/h, amounting to 40 km/h at times and the sea will be moderate to occasionally rough in the Arabian Gulf and light in the Sea of Oman.
