As the summer reaches its peak, temperatures soared to near-record high in parts of the UAE on Thursday.
The people in the UAE can expect warm conditions to continue, with temperatures still remaining close to 50˚C in some areas.
According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), the highest temperature recorded in the UAE on Thursday was 49.3°C in Bada Dafas (Al Dhafarh region, Abu Dhabi) at 2:00pm.
The lowest temperature recorded over the country early on Thursday was 20.7°C in Barakah 2 (Al Dhafra Region).
The UAE witnessed a rise in temperatures in separate areas, where the temperature arose to 49.3°C at 2:00pm in Bada Dafas, 49.1°C in Hamim at 3:15pm, and to 49.1°C in Umm Al-Zamoul at 3:15pm.
