Al Ain Civil, Commercial, and Administrative Cases Court has ordered a woman to pay Dhs153,000 and Dhs20,000 in compensation to another who had received the amount in return for providing jobs for the plaintiff and her family members but failed to fulfill her obligations or return the amount.
The plaintiff filed a lawsuit demanding the return of Dhs153,000 and Dhs47,000 in compensation for material and moral damages, along with legal fees and expenses.
She stated that she had given the appellee Dhs153,000 to provide jobs for her and her family but after receiving the amount, she neither provided the jobs nor refunded the amount.
The plaintiff submitted evidence, including bank transfer receipts and phone conversation records.
The court-appointed expert concluded that the appellee admitted to receiving Dhs153,000 from the plaintiff to provide jobs through a third party, to whom the amount was transferred.
However, the third party failed to provide the jobs or return the funds so the appellee said she filed a police report and attempted to resolve the matter amicably, offering the plaintiff Dhs50,000 and promising to pay the remainder later but the plaintiff rejected the offer, demanding the full amount.
The court determined that the appellee had received the amount and failed to fulfill her obligations or return the money. Therefore, it ordered her to repay Dhs153,000 and pay Dhs20,000 in compensation to the plaintiff.
