Man told to pay Dhs7,000 to a woman for verbal abuse on phone

Abu Dhabi Court of Family, Civil and Administrative Cases ordered a man to pay Dhs7,000 to a woman after he verbally abused her, leading her to file a criminal case against him.
In the details, the woman filed a lawsuit against the man, demanding he compensate her with Dhs30,000 for the damages she suffered, in addition to covering legal fees and attorney expenses.
The man allegedly had insulted her during a phone call and sent her abusive voice messages via a social media platform.
The court ruled that the appellee’s actions caused the plaintiff moral harm and, as a result, ordered him to pay her Dhs7,000 in compensation for the damages inflicted.
