US President Donald Trump landed in Abu Dhabi on last leg of Gulf tour on a state visit to the United Arab Emirates.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, was at the forefront of those welcoming him and his accompanying delegation upon their arrival at the Presidential Airport.
President Trump arrived in Abu Dhabi on Thursday for a state visit to the UAE.
Also present at the reception were His Highness Sheikh Tahnoun Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Advisor; Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor to the President of the State; Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the President's Office for Strategic Affairs and Head of the Abu Dhabi Office; His Excellency Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority; His Excellency Yousef Al Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to the United States; and a number of senior officials.

A squadron of military aircraft escorted the US President's plane as it entered UAE airspace to celebrate his visit. The squadron commander asked His Excellency's permission to accompany him to the presidential airport, welcoming him to the UAE.
Trump earlier said he is heading to the United Arab Emirates today, which has a great leader.
During a speech in Qatar, the second stop on his Gulf tour, Trump added that he will travel to the UAE on Thursday. "I'm heading to the UAE today, and they have a great, great leader," he said.
Criticizing the administration of former President Joe Biden, Trump added, "We would have lost the Middle East because of the policies of the previous administration."
Over the course of four days, Trump is on a tour of the Gulf region, starting in Saudi Arabia, then Qatar, and concluding with a visit to the UAE.
