Three women shot dead over traffic dispute in Ras Al Khaimah, suspect arrested

Ras Al Khaimah Police stated that they had arrested a man, who caused the death of three women following a traffic altercation that took place in an area across the emirate.

The police explained that they received a report of gunfire in an area across the emirate and instructed the concerned station to conduct the necessary investigations immediately.

Within 5 minutes of receiving the report, the concerned team arrived at the scene of the incident, where three women were found to have been shot, and dealt seriously with the perpetrator.

It was found that an altercation had broken out due to a vehicle passing in a narrow passageway. The altercation, however, snowballed and consequently, the man pulled out a firearm and shot at the women. The injured women were transferred to the hospital but succumbed to their injuries later on.

The police stated that they immediately initiated investigations into the incident, arrested the perpetrator, seized the weapon used and referred the case to the Public Prosecution.

The police called on everyone to exercise self-restraint and not be carried away by everyday altercations, stressing that the law would be strictly enforced against whoever dares to tamper with the security and safety of society.
