Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA) has launched free high-speed wireless internet (WiFi) services across all its public buses, including intra-city and inter-city routes, according to RAKTA.
This initiative is part of the authority’s ongoing efforts to enhance customer experience and promote digital transformation in the public transport sector.
The service, now available on all bus routes within and outside the emirate, offers passengers a more interactive and seamless travel experience.
It allows them to browse the internet, check emails, and complete daily tasks, making their commute time more productive and efficient.
Eng. Ismail Hassan Al Balooshi, Director General of RAKTA, stated that providing smart and innovative services is a key part of the authority’s commitment to improving the public transport system and meeting community expectations.
He added, "By offering free internet onboard buses, we aim to enhance mobility efficiency and provide integrated digital services that contribute to improving the quality of life in the emirate."
The service will go under continuous evaluation to ensure its performance is developed and improved, providing high-quality internet connectivity for all passengers.
This aligns with user expectations and RAKTA’s vision for excellence in digital services.
