Abu Dhabi shuts restaurant and Wafi Hypermarket for violating food safety regulations

Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) issued an administrative closure order against Mana Rutchulu Restaurant in Abu Dhabi Industrial City (Licence No. CN-3918601) and Wafi Hypermarket LLC in Mussafah Industrial City, Abu Dhabi (Licence No. CN-1186859). for violating Law No. (2) of 2008 concerning food safety in Abu Dhabi and its associated regulations, posing a risk to public health.
ADAFSA stated that the closure decision was due to repeated high-risk violations of food safety requirements, including pest infestations, expired products, and poor hygiene practices, pointing out that despite prior warnings and the issuance of 3 and 4 violations respectively, the establishments failed to rectify the issues.
ADAFSA emphasised that the closure will remain in effect until the establishments comply with all necessary requirements, rectify violations, and ensure food safety standards are met.
The authority urged the public to report any food safety violations or concerns by calling the Abu Dhabi Government toll-free number 800555 so that inspectors take action to safeguard public health and ensure safe food for all residents of Abu Dhabi.
