A specialised team from the Ras Al Khaimah Civil Defence Department successfully extinguished a fire that broke out in a large auto repair shop on Thursday morning.
No fatalities were reported as a result of the fire, which caused material losses only.
The fire erupted at around 11:00 am on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Salem Street and a fire brigade from the emirate’s civil defence station rushed to the scene of the fire.
The efforts exerted by Ras Al Khaimah civil defence personnel in dealing with the fire prevented the flames from spreading to neighbouring facilities and buildings and brought the material losses caused by the fire to a minimum.
Their efforts also helped prevent any injuries among the workers and customers of the auto repair shop.
Upon its arrival at the scene, the fire brigade began extinguishing the blaze, which had engulfed part of the facility.
The incident file was handed over to the relevant police authorities in Ras Al Khaimah to determine the cause of the fire.
