The Markets and Consumer Services Sector of the Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (ADQCC) conducted inspections on 28,655 products during the first quarter of 2025.
These inspections were part of routine campaigns to ensure the quality and safety of products on display and under supervision in Abu Dhabi markets, as well as to verify the legal measuring instruments used in sales transactions.
The council also inspected 5,565 legal measuring instruments and 492 packages.
The regulatory tours identified 5 globally recalled products found in local markets, along with 41 corrected products, and 6 products were withdrawn.
The ADQCC works to support regulatory and government bodies in implementing quality standards and systems to ensure compliance of products, workers, and systems with relevant quality standards set by the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
This aims to enhance the safety and quality of products and improve their competitiveness locally, regionally, and globally, the ADQCC said.
