Pakistan PM lauds UAE leadership for outstanding flood management

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan received two phone calls from King Abdullah II Bin Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and Shahbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, in which they expressed their wishes for the safety of the UAE and its people following the difficult weather conditions and heavy rains that the country witnessed recently.

Pakistan prime minister’s call was centered on his admiration for the strong resolve and impeccable efficiency with which the UAE leadership had confronted the challenges that had emerged from the recent rains in the country, a PM Office news release said.

Pakistan’s PM lauded the UAE President, who had once again demonstrated his outstanding leadership qualities and proven his strong commitment to ensuring the welfare of the Emirati people.

The prime minister said that Pakistan had also witnessed heavy rains in recent days, resulting in loss of many precious lives. He called for collective actions to combat the challenge of climate change and suggested that both countries strengthen their collaboration in the field.

The UAE President expressed appreciation for the prime minister’s good wishes and reciprocated the warm sentiments for the people affected from rains and flooding in Pakistan. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to enhance bilateral cooperation in multifaceted areas.

King Abdullah II affirmed his sincere wishes for God Almighty to protect the UAE and its people from all harm and grant them wellbeing and prosperity.  

For his part, Sheikh Mohamed thanked his brother, King Abdullah II, and the Shahbaz Sharif and expressed his appreciation for their warm sentiments towards the UAE and its people, stressing the strength of the relations that unite the UAE with Jordan and Pakistan.
