More clouds are expected to form gradually offshore and over the coasts, islands and some southern areas with a chance of drizzles to moderate rains at times as a result of the unstable weather conditions that will continue till Friday, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

The clouds would move at night over separate areas across the country, interspersed with some cumulus clouds and accompanied by rains, mostly moderate, on some coastal and northern areas, it said.

The intensity of the rains would increase in the inland and southern areas as well as some eastern areas of the country. Light to moderate rains would fall on Abu Dhabi, and its intensity would increase with lightning and thunder at times on the inland and southern areas and Al Ain, it added.

Clouds would continue to form over separate areas across the country on Thursday, accompanied by rains, mostly moderate and heavy, on some southern and eastern areas as well as separate areas in Al Ain and possibly, by hail, the NCM said. From Thursday evening, less clouds would form and hence less rains in general, it added.

Active westerly winds would blow on the western areas of the country and on other areas gradually, causing the sea to become rough and the temperature to drop noticeably, it said.

Friday’s weather is expected to be clear to partly cloudy with low clouds appearing over some areas of the eastern coast with a chance of drizzles.
