UAE President honours ambassadors of Barbados and Vietnam

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan awarded the First-Class Medal of Independence to Gabriel Abed, Ambassador of the Republic of Barbados to the UAE, on the occasion of end of his tenure as ambassador to the country.

Reem Bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, presented the medal to Abed during a meeting held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, she stressed the UAE's keenness to strengthen relations with Barbados in all fields.

She also expressed her wishes of success to the Ambassador in his future duties, and praised his role in strengthening the distinct relations between the UAE and the Republic of Barbados during his tenure.

For his part, Abed expressed his gratitude to Sheikh Mohamed, praising the development of relations between the two countries. Furthermore, he also expressed his gratitude to all the UAE entities for their cooperation that positively contributed to the success of his mission.

Separately, Sheikh Mohamed has awarded Nguyen Manh Tuan, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the UAE, the First Class Medal of Independence on the occasion of the end of his tenure as ambassador to the UAE, and in appreciation of his work.

Ahmed Bin Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State, presented the medal to Manh Tuan during a reception at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, Al Sayegh affirmed the UAE's keenness to strengthen relations with the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in all fields, and expressed his gratitude for the Ambassador’s role in enhancing bilateral relations during his tenure in the country. Al Sayegh also wished him further success and development in his future duties.

For his part, Manh Tuan expressed his appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, commending the UAE’s accomplishments that reflect the leadership's keenness and ambitions to elevate the country's position and reputation within the international community. He also highlighted the progress achieved in relations between the two countries.

Moreover, Manh Tuan expressed his gratitude to all government entities in the UAE for contributing to the success of his mission which aimed to strengthen relations between the two countries.
