UAE announces New Year holiday for both government and private sectors

The Authority congratulated the UAE's leadership and its people on this occasion.

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has declared Monday, 1st January 2024, as the New Year holiday for federal government entities.

A circular issued by FAHR on Thursday added that work will resume on Tuesday, 2nd January.

The Authority congratulated the UAE's leadership and its people on this occasion.

A paid holiday for private sector

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (Mohre) has announced on X platform on Thursday that Monday, 1 January 2024, will be a paid holiday for all private sector employees in the UAE on account of the New Year.

The Ministry wished all a year filled with happiness and success.
