Al Wathba Dates Festival and Auction to kick off tomorrow

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, the Al Wathba Dates Festival and Auction will be held on 13th to 22nd December 2023, as part of the Sheikh Zayed Heritage Festival in Al Wathba.

Organised by the Cultural Programs and Heritage Festivals Committee - Abu Dhabi, in partnership with Emirates Heritage Club, the festival features nine main competitions for various varieties of dates, dates auction, dates packaging and dates recipes, offering 83 prizes with a cash purse of more than AED2.5 million. It will feature a traditional souq which includes stands for dates farmers along with other exciting heritage events.

The Al Wathba Dates Festival and Auction is a platform supporting date farmers and producers, providing a space to market their products, attracting visitors to experience the UAE's authentic cultural heritage, and enhancing sustainable agricultural development in Abu Dhabi.
