UAQ Police offer 50% discount on traffic fines to mark UAE’s 52nd National Day

In celebration of the UAE’s 52nd National Day, the GHQ of Umm Al Quwain Police has announced 50 per cent discount on all types of traffic violations recorded in the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain before November 1, 2023, except for serious violations.

The discount will continue valid from December 1, 2023 until January 7, 2024.

The violations excluded from the discount are driving in a way that poses danger to drivers’ live or lives and safety of others, driving in a way that harms public or private properties, jumping a red signals by heavy and light vehicles and motorbikes, exceeding maximum speed limit by more than 80km/h, modifying engine or chassis without permission among others.

On the other, the Public Service Department in Ras Al Khaimah, on Monday announced a 50 per cent discount on public fines in the emirate. The discount will continue valid until end of December 2023, the Department added.

The move, which comes on the occasion of the UAE’s 52nd National Day, is part of the Department’s ongoing efforts to promote awareness and culture of environmental responsibility.
