Third batch of wounded Palestinians from Gaza arrives for treatment in Abu Dhabi on Monday morning.

Videos shared on social media showed Emirati officials assisting Palestinians disembark the aircraft.

A special plane carrying Palestinian children along with their relatives arrived at Sheikh Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi.

The third batch arrived at Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi as part of the initiative of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to treat 1,000 Palestinian children, accompanied by their families, from the Gaza Strip in hospitals in the UAE.

The third batch included 93 injured and sick people and their 80 companions, including a number of cancer patients to complete their treatment in state hospitals.

The Emirati Flying Hospital was accompanied by a medical team under the supervision of Dr Maha Tayseer Barakat, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Medical Affairs and Life Sciences, and a number of doctors in various medical specialties, including intensive care doctors, and nursing and technical staff from various hospitals to follow up on the patients and injured during their transfer to Abu Dhabi.

The injured and sick were received by a number of officials from various medical sectors, medical teams, and ambulances, who were distributed to various hospitals.

The plane coming from Al-Arish Airport in the Arab Republic of Egypt landed at Abu Dhabi Airport, carrying on board children who are in dire need of medical assistance, suffering from severe injuries and burns, and cancer patients who need urgent treatment.

The UAE President has also directed the provision of medical care for 1,000 Palestinian cancer patients from the Gaza Strip.

The patients are to receive treatment and all necessary healthcare in UAE hospitals. The initiative reflects the UAE’s steadfast approach in supporting the Palestinian people and is part of its ongoing endeavours to mitigate the escalating humanitarian situation in Gaza.

Furthermore, His Highness has ordered the setting up of a fully equipped field hospital in the Gaza Strip under the Gallant Knight 3 operation, aiming to address the humanitarian needs of those affected by the conflict.
