A baby born on the first days of the Gaza war rescued alive from rubble of the bombed house after 37 days, a Palestinian civil defence member said.

The child, termed a miracle baby, was pulled out by a rescue worker after 37 days.

Nooh Al Shaghnobi, a civil defence member and photographer shared the video on Instagram and said, “Born on the first days of the Gaza war, her mother and father were martyrs. She was born again when she came out of the rubble after everyone said she was dead, we clung to some hope and after three hours of labour she was taken out with the care of God and by His grace her name is (Peace).”

Al-Shaghnobi wrote, “O Allah, protect her with your eyes that do not sleep and make her an asset for Islam and Muslims.”

Since the October 7 attacks, Israel has hit back with a massive military campaign that killed nearly 15,000 Palestinians in Gaza, two-thirds of them women and children.

Mediator Qatar said on Monday a truce between Israel and Hamas forces in Gaza had been extended by two days, continuing a pause in seven weeks of warfare that has killed thousands and laid waste to the Palestinian enclave.

"An agreement has been reached to extend the humanitarian truce for an additional two days in the Gaza Strip," a Qatari foreign ministry spokesperson said in a post on social media platform X.
