Hamas said on Sunday they had handed over 13 Israeli hostages, three Thai nationals and one Russian to the International Committee of the Red Cross.

Israeli military says 14 Israelis and 3 foreign nationals released from captivity in the Gaza Strip. Qatar says 39 Palestinians to be released from Israeli prisons today.

Hamas said on Sunday they had freed a hostage who has Russian citizenship from Gaza, while Egypt received lists of 13 Israelis and 39 Palestinians scheduled for release during the day as part of a truce between Hamas and Israel.

Meanwhile, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry received a call from U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Sunday to discuss obstacles threatening Israel's truce with Hamas and ways to reach a comprehensive ceasefire, Egypt's foreign ministry said.

During the phone call, Shoukry stressed the need to build on the truce while implementing the United Nations Security Council resolution issued on Nov. 15 which calls for humanitarian pauses that can allow aid into Gaza, the ministry said in a statement.
