Sultan meets Al Mazrouei, receives briefing on UAE's key energy projects

His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, received on Wednesday at Al Badee Palace, Suhail Bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Etihad Water and Electricity.

During the meeting, Sheikh Sultan received a comprehensive briefing on the UAE's key water, electricity, and energy initiatives.

These initiatives have played a pivotal role in enabling the UAE to adhere to the highest technical and environmental standards, thereby advancing its energy-related objectives.

Sheikh Sultan was briefed on the plans and strategies of Etihad Water and Electricity, focusing on sustainable development, energy use optimisation, infrastructure enhancement, and the delivery of efficient water and electricity services.

The discussions encompassed Sharjah's projects dedicated to water security and achieving self-sufficiency, their crucial role in meeting water needs during crises, their sustainable environmental impact, and their contribution to enhancing the quality of family life in the Emirate.

The meeting was attended by Saeed Al Suwaidi, Chairman of the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, and Yousef Ahmed Al Ali, CEO of Etihad Water and Electricity.
