Rainy weather conditions: Dubai Police call on drivers to be cautious

The Dubai Police General Command called on drivers to be careful on the roads, during the rainy weather conditions witnessed by the country nowadays.

The police called on motorists to follow all preventive measures, fully adhere to traffic laws and regulations, reduce speeds, leave a sufficient safety distance, and not be distracted by anything other than the road, stressing their readiness to deal with reports of emergency accidents, whether in mountainous areas and valleys, or to deal with traffic accidents which may occur during rainfall in this period.

The General Command of the Dubai Police also asked the public to stay away from waterways and not cross the valleys for the public safety.

It also warned against going to the sea in light of the current weather fluctuations, calling on the owners of boats, ships, canoes, yachts, and seafarers, to follow the weather and climate conditions, and adhere to the instructions, to ensure public safety, and to prevent exposing others to danger or put their lives at risk, due to strong sea currents and high waves.

Dubai Police also stressed the importance of adhering to the instructions and requirements set by the municipality and Dubai Police at beaches and marinas, and responding to the red flag signal, which means not swimming or sailing.

It called on all to contact the Command and Control Centre at the General Department of Operations on the number 999 in the event of emergency situations, and on the number 901 in non-emergency cases, wishing everyone safety and security.
