Rain hits parts of UAE, lowest temperature recorded at 14.2°C

Various areas of the country witnessed heavy rain on Saturday.

Scattered areas of the country on Saturday witnessed heavy rain with hailstones and according to the National Centre of meteorology (NCM) the unstable weather conditions are likely to continue until Wednesday.

Rain fell on Al Ajban and Al Khatim in Abu Dhabi, on Nahil, Al Hayer and Sweihan in Al Ain, Wadi Kob in Ras Al Khaimah, Al Tawayen in Fujairah, Al Bataeh, Mleiha, Al Faya, and Faly, with hailstones on Al Dhaid in Sharjah, Manama in Ajman and other separate areas of the country, the NCM added.

The lowest temperature recorded in the country on Saturday was 14.2°C in Jebel Jais in Ras Al Khaimah at 3:45 am, according to the NCM.

Weather until Wednesday is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy at times, with a chance of some cumulus clouds accompanied by rain falling on some coastal, northern and eastern areas.

The winds will be light to moderate, northwesterly and fresh at times, at a speed of 15 to 25 up to 40 km/h. The sea will be moderate to turbulent offshore at times in the Arabian Gulf and light to moderate in the Sea of Oman.
