The UAE sent a plane carrying urgent medical aid to the city of Al-Arish in Egypt, to be brought into the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing, in order to provide relief support to the brotherly Palestinian people.

Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Development Affairs and International Organizations, said that this initiative comes within the continuous efforts undertaken by the UAE to provide relief supplies to the brotherly Palestinian people in light of the difficult humanitarian conditions they are going through, stressing that this initiative and other initiatives reflect the positions of the state.

Al Shamsi added that the UAE took the urgent initiative to send aid as a result of the urgent need of the Palestinian people in these difficult circumstances, noting that the medical aid sent by the country in coordination with the Arab Republic of Egypt is awaiting urgent entry into the Gaza Strip, aiming to alleviate the human suffering faced by the residents of the Gaza Strip, especially children and women.
