Sharjah Police arrest man involved in murder in less than 36 hours

The security teams of the Criminal Investigation Department at the Sharjah Police were able to arrest an Asian man involved in a murder in less than 36 hours.

The operations room received a report on Saturday evening about a person found dead in one of the industrial areas in Sharjah, the police said.

Accordingly, security patrols and other concerned authorities rushed to the site and found that the victim had been stabbed with a blunt object, which led to his death on the spot, the police added.

The CID teams instantly initiated investigations into the incident to identify the victim and the perpetrator.

In less than 12 hours, they succeeded to identity the perpetrator, who was found violating the law of entry and residence in the country.

In coordination with the security teams at the Dubai Police, the perpetrator was arrested in an ambush, the Sharjah Police said.

On interrogating the suspect confessed to killing the victim.

Accordingly, the necessary legal measures are being taken to refer him to the judicial authorities.

The Sharjah Police affirm that the protection of individuals is a top priority, stressing that there is no tolerance for anyone who prejudices to and tamper with the security of citizens and residents in any way.
