The Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council is marking its second anniversary and the launch of Nafis programme. This year has seen great achievements, foremost of which is the significant increase in the number of citizens working in the private sector, which reached more than 82,000 in more than 17,000 companies.

Out the more than 82,000 citizens working in the private sector, about 52,000 joined this vital sector after the launch of Nafis,

During the last two years, Nafis platform has created more than 32,000 job opportunities, with about 11,000 partners from the private sector, benefiting more than 61,000 citizens currently working in the private sector.

Ghannam Al Mazrouei, Secretary General of the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council, praised the magnitude of the achievements made during the past period. This was thanks to unlimited support from the prudent leadership, which paid special attention to the Emiratisation file, and provided all means of support to ensure its success.

He affirmed that what was achieved by the Board of Directors of the Council led by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, and Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, and members of the Board of Directors, in this file had the greatest impact on the success and achievement, through continuous and diligent follow-up.

 “What the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council and Nafis programme have achieved is not limited to numbers and statistics only, but also yielded many strategic achievements that support the objectives of the Council, such as amendments that aim to increase flexibility and keep pace with the development of the UAE labor market, and decisions that serve citizens in the private sector,” Al Mazrouei added.

He also stressed that the private sector is considered an essential and strategic partner in development, revealing the Council's intention to reinforce the cooperation with this vital sector in advancing development and developing the capabilities of national human resources, to enable them to contribute to the march of the national economy, during the coming period.

Al Mazrouei also noted that the real achievement is represented in the change that has led to the increase in the demand of citizens to join the private sector, and their desire to continue and excel in it.

 “This demand from our youth to work in private sector reflects the positive outlook on the advantages of employment in this sector, which saw distinguished success stories achieved in it,” he added.

He called on young citizens working in the private sector and job seekers to visit the Nafis platform and register in the programme, where all information is always available for applications and nominations.
